Reflections on Eight Days
Every few days during the challenge, I know I need to look over what I have written and posted and decide if I am meeting my goals and my own expectations. I also need to consult my list of planned posts for the upcoming week or so and make sure I am thinking about them.
Writers are always writing no matter where they are or what they are doing. I didn't know this until I started to write my share of the first published book. It has something to do with someone else reading what you write because I never thought about this when I was just writing in my journal.
It is important to be happy with what you have accomplished. This is quite a challenge. I am writing in Microsoft Word and copying and pasting each post into Blogger. It is tedious.
I am caught up with the scanning and now I have to print out the Word document for each photo and find a way to keep them with the photo. I don't think it is safe to separate the two.
I enjoyed writing about my immigrant Scotttish ancestors. My father was supportive of me learning about his family. Even though he is no longer with me, I know he would want me to continue. These posts are the only ones I will do because the other photos I have been gathering do not belong to me. I need to make sure I have printed those photos too and labelled them. This is more than I can do while writing these blog posts.
I am anxious to get back to writing about gravestones. I find it much more fun.
The family photos coming up are harder to write about so I am glad that I am ahead and decided to pre-write the posts. I could not get out of bed, research and write. The research needs to be done first.
I hope you are enjoying reading my posts.
